Will Hindi Songs Of 2013 Bollywood Sequels Recreate The Magic Of Earlier Releases?
Remember movies like Aashiqui, Krrish, and Dhoom? These movies became very popular amongst the masses for not just the story but also for well-composed and soulful Hindi songs. The success of a movie often depends on the quality of its music. This was particularly true in the case of Aashiqui.
The movie, which starred Rahul Roy and Anu Agarwal, became a commercial success primarily because of the popularity of its music. Dhoom had fast bikes and well-shot action sequences but its catchy tunes also helped pull audience to the cinema halls. It remains to be seen whether the Hindi songs in these Hindi movie sequels to be released in 2013 will match the success of the earlier releases.
This music of this movie will be compared to the earlier release. The composers will find it difficult to make an impression due to the immense popularity of the Hindi songs in Aashiqui. It would not be incorrect to say that the earlier release became a hit primarily because people wanted to listen to the songs in the cinema halls.
The Hindi songs of Aashiqui 2 have made a good first impression. It remains to be seen whether the songs of this movie will surpass the popularity of the Hindi songs in the original.
Yamla Pagla Deewana 2
The earlier movie was a widely appreciated comedy caper starring Dharmendra and his two sons. The movie’s music was a hit with numerous peppy songs including one where Dharmendra does his famous ‘Jat Yamla Pagla Deewana” step. The sequel seems to be crazier and funnier than the original movie. The Hindi songs of this movie seem to similar to the songs of the original movie-fast-paced Bhangra songs.
Ragini MMS 2
Ragini MMS brought horror back in fashion with its interesting plot and subtle horror sequences. Unlike traditional movies, the horror movie did not have too many songs and dance sequences. The Hindi songs, playing in the background, did a good job of setting the romantic and scary moods as and when required in the plot. The sequel too promises to have Hindi songs that will not interrupt the flow of the movie. Well composed music can have a huge impact on the movie’s scary quotient.
The first and the second edition of this movie reaped the benefits of having melodious romantic tracks along with dance numbers designed to help Hrithik Roshan show off his dancing skills. The third edition of this superhero series is definitely going to follow the same formula. The Roshans are reputed to put in an extra effort when composing the music for their home productions.
Dhoom and Dhoom 2 attracted large number of young moviegoers because of dance numbers that showcased the top heroines in their hottest avatars. Considering the fact that Dhoom 3 is also based around fast bikes and hot chase sequences, chances are high that the Hindi songs in this movie will try to cater to young fans of the franchise.
